How to get around in the Charleston area
Airport
Charleston International Airport is a joint civil-military airport located in North Charleston, South Carolina. The airport is operated by the Charleston County Aviation Authority under a joint-use agreement with Joint Base Charleston.
Train

Shuttle
Five shuttles operate in the downtown area. While stops are located throughout the downtown area, all shuttles service the Charleston Visitor Center on Ann Street.
Visitor Center
While in the Charleston area visit one of four area Visitor Centers for information, tour and attraction tickets. Our visit planning staff hours are indicated beneath each location. Call (800) 774-0006 for assistance
Water Taxi
Departing hourly from four locations: Waterfront Park, Maritime Center, Patriots Point (USS Yorktown) and Charleston Harbor Resort.
Parking
The city owns 12 parking garages with nearly 6,700 public spaces. Additional privately owned parking garages and lots (with varying daily, hourly, evening and weekend rates) are found throughout the city.
